The Best Sunset of All Time

Since my original-and only-post to this blog, on December 12th of 2007, I have saved three drafts, the first is titled, "91,929,600 seconds later....". The body of the draft contains one sentence, "I hope no-one has been holding their breath." The second draft is titled, "135,475,200 seconds later." and has no body at all...kind of like the the great and powerful Oz, just this big green, meanacing head, and nothing below it. 

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN.

By my third attempt to blog something...anything...I mean, how tough could it be to follow Pee Wee Herman dressed in the American flag reciting our national anthem against the backdrop of Lake Union, the Seattle skyline at dawn-replete with the Space Needle thrusting majestically toward the heavens.....

hmmmm...as I was saying, by my third attemt to blog a second time here, I figured the second counting thing was cutesy twice but stupid three times... that it didn't get posted either, and that the third try was in response to a direct request that I start blogging from someone very close to me...well...physically closer then than now...not in the sense of having a physical relationship, I haven't had one of those since the Clinton administration, but in thge sense that we were...er are close friends and we lived in the same house then but now he lives in Alaska are the only salient points to this narrative-and boy howdy didn't they take a long time to get to?

So, I guess my fourth try has been waiting for something as spectacular as Pee Wee, or another request from a friend that I blog. I got both today, and I'll be back later to tell y'all about it. 
Hey, you didn't think I was going to stop being a tease did you?  It's been 149,990,400 seconds, since the first blog. I promise the next sooner....as if anybody gives a flying fudge.

Once again, into the abyss

Blogging...I guess it's time to try again. Except for a few months in 2004, I've never been a consistent blogger, so I'm not making any promises.

Since this is my first "blogger" post, I think I'll see if I can make all the buttons work. Ok...looks like I can change fonts and make it bold and/or italicized. I can change the color.
